Welcome to the November edition of FOCUS and a report from our FUN’RAISING QUIZ, organised by Dave Beer and hosted by Nigel Ford, which took place on November 21st at a rowdy pub in London! Thanks to all who came along to support the ‘sold out’ event and well done to the winning team ‘The Barking Dog Quiz Cheats’.
November was a difficult month for those affected by Dominic and Roy’s birthdays, as well as by the anniversary of Joseph Harris, who died 8 years ago. Memories can bring joy and happiness for some, contrasted with pain and sadness for others. Knowing people came together to remember Joseph on the anniversary brought comfort; seeing so many friends laughing and chatting together brought joy, and raising several hundred pounds to support those facing relentless mental health challenges brought the realisation of what the Trust has achieved since it was founded in 2014.
Our featured charity is Arise Counselling Services, who offer affordable counselling to their local community. In our next edition of FOCUS, we will be announcing several new events for 2026, including our next BHMT FC match, the inevitable triathlons and a few surprises.
