This year, BHMT has applied to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest match funded campaign. We’re raising funds by hosting a star-studded charity football match with Beder FC, a club raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention through football. The match will take place on Saturday 14th December at the Dorking Wanderers FC stadium, with a capacity of over 4000, so there will be plenty of space to come and support the match. It will be a great opportunity to raise funds for mental health as well as meet some of the leading lights in the field of mental health, some of our other charity partners and even potentially some ex-pros.
We are delighted to be collaborating with Beder, one of the charities we support in organising this fixture, specifically through their football club, Beder FC.
As part of our application, we’re asking our key supporters to consider making promises of funding, called ‘Pledges’, which will be used to double online donations made to our charity during the campaign in December. Your commitment to funding might also help us secure additional match funds via a Champion (sourced by the Big Give). We are asking for your help to secure a total of £3150 in pledges by the deadline of 30th August so we can take part in the campaign and receive a further £3150 in match funding from a Champion. We would really appreciate if you would consider making an official pledge through this online form. Each pledge is set at a minimum of £100 by Big Give, and we would be thrilled if you were able to make a pledge of this size.
