Despite the enormous sadness felt from our supporters on the death of former Chairman, Roy Harris, the Trustees were keen to produce the June newsletter and bring you positive news of our activities during the last month. Fundraising has continued with Warwick University Lacrosse and the BHMT football match and summer solstice party.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of acting Chairman, Josh Beer and new Trustee Niall Day-Sawyer. Josh has been Technical Director for several years and played a key role in decision-making, fundraising and brand support. Josh has been responsible for FOCUS and the website, and Niall has played a significant role in supporting him with these projects. Latterly Niall joined the Council of Reference and has become more involved with the development of the Trust. Whilst we will deeply miss Roy’s calm and guiding presence, it is encouraging to see the younger generation in place to take the Trust forward for the next phase.
This month our chosen charity is Strength and Learning Through Horses, who have been delivering alternative education programmes and equine therapy services for over 14 years.
