Welcome to the February edition of FOCUS! We are delighted to add new fundraising events to the programme below. This month our featured charity is Music in Hospitals & Care, a charity which improves the health and wellbeing of adults through the healing powers of live music. For 76 years they have shared live music to people in healthcare settings across the UK with each session tailored to the individuals taking part.
BHMT was able to help the charity provide six hours of professional live music for people living with mental health problems in hospitals including Charlton Lane Hospital in Cheltenham and Leverndale Hospital in Glasgow. Around 100 people benefited from this scheme with many carers reporting visible improvements in their patients.
